Course Director: Dr Daniel Friedman
Dr Daniel Friedman is Chairman of the ANZ International Regional Committee of SCCT. He is an interventional cardiologist with level III SCCT accreditation, a member of the ANZ CTCA Conjoint Committee and he sits on the CERC committee of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He has been an invited speaker at numerous National and International meetings. He has vast experience in the technology and was instrumental in setting up what has become one of the leading collaborative radiology/cardiology CTCA laboratories in Australia.

Dr Jonathan Seef FRANZCR
Dr Jonathan Seeff is a Radiologist in private practice in Sydney. He underwent radiology training in the USA, including Fellowship training in cross-sectional imaging. His major professional interest is in CT imaging. He has been involved in Cardiac CT for the past 3 years and has contributed to the development of credentialing guidelines by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology.
Dr Anthony P Freeman MBBS (Syd), MD (UNSW), FRACP, DDU
Consultant Cardiologist VMO Prince of Wales Hospital and Prince of Wales Private Hospitals.
Received Doctorate From UNSW in the field of Nuclear Cardiology and cardiologist responsible for Nuclear Cardiology at the Prince of Wales Hospital. Career interest in non invasive imaging including cardiac ultrasound, nuclear and CT. He has reported over 1500 CT coronary angiograms and has completed Levels 1, 2,and 3 cardiac CT training. He has published and lectured in field of CT both in Australia and overseas.
Dr John Lambros FRACP, FCSANZ
Dr Lambros received his medical degree from the University of NSW in 1989 and completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney in 1994. He runs a busy private clinical practice and is a Visiting Medical Officer at the Prince of Wales Public and Private Hospitals. His interests include preventive cardiovascular medicine and cardiac imaging. He was involved in the development of Cardiac Imaging Associates, a collaborative cardiological / radiological approach to the provision of a coronary CT angiography service. He has acquired extensive experience in the reporting of cardiac CT during this period and holds level III accreditation through the Society of Cardiovascular CT.
Dr Simon Eggleton FRACP, FCSANZ
Consultant Cardiologist, Randwick Cardiology. Visiting Medical Officer at The Mater Hospital and Prince of Wales Private Hospital. Reporting cardiologist, Cardiac Imaging Associates, Sydney.
Dr Eggleton received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of New South Wales. He completed his basic physicians training at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and cardiology fellowship at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. Post-fellowship training was undertaken in cardiac imaging with specific emphasis on Transoesophageal echocardiography and Cardiac CT. He has published several articles directed towards the diagnostic accuracy of CT coronary angiography. He has a keen interest in the non-coronary cardiac CT applications such as work up for radiofrequency ablation and cardiac resynchronisation.
Helen Thomson
GE Healthcare - Australia and New Zealand CT Manager
Helen comes from a clinical background that started in Christchurch, New Zealand and has specialised in the field of CT imaging and processing for 18 years. She joined GE Healthcare in 1994 as a CT/Workstation Applications Specialist, responsible for training physicians and technologists in the optimal operation of their GE CT equipment. In 2002 Helen moved to the USA and worked in the GE CT Headquarters Team as the Cardiac CT Product Development Specialist, where she was an instrumental team member for Cardiac CT technology and software development. In this role she worked with GE luminary physicians and Engineers to bring to market industry leading Cardiac CT technology and to assist in the development of Cardiac CT educational programmes. Helen has held the role as ANZ CT Business Manager for GE Healthcare since early 2006.
Bronwyn Roughley
Bronwyn has also come from a clinical background studying radiography and specilaising in CT imaging in NSW.She worked as a GE CT/Advantage Workstation applications specialist for three and a half years, primarily training physicians and radiographers in CT acquisition and post processing of all areas of imaging, including coronary CTA.
Dr Mark Pitney MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ,MSCAI
Mark Pitney is an Interventional Cardiologist whose research interests include radiation dose and protection. Mark has recently completed Level II training and reports for Cardiac Imaging Associates in Miranda. He has developed a methodical reporting style which will be extremely helpful to those in their initial CT training.
